Crafty Day With My Mom!

I love crafty days with my mom more than any other days.  On this particular Saturday, we got together and did some crafting at her house.  After a delicious chicken salad stuffed tomoato lunch, we had a long afternoon of crafting!  She did some sewing and I created some altered frames.  I used Michael's frames and altered them up!  I had a lot of fun with them.  I used mod podge, flowers, buttons, design paper, lace and seam binding to create these for our upcoming craft fairs.  Here's how they came out!

October Afternoon Halloween Album...

Here's another one of my photo divider albums!   I used the October Afternoon Witch Hazel paper collection for this.  It's so adorable!!

Pictures are below and my video is here.   Thanks for stopping by!

Americana Upcycle Album!

I discovered an upcycle project that I love!  I buy those Recollections photo boxes from Michael's whenever they're on sale.  Inside, they include photo dividers, which I never use.  So, needless to say, I have ended up with dozens of these photo dividers in my stash.  I decided to make a mini album out of them.  First, I turned them into mini file folders and then created the album.  They are simple and so much fun to make!  Here's a tutorial on my channel on how to create them.

For this album, I used the K&Company Americana collection.  Check out my pictures below and you can also see my video on the album here!

Altered cork charms....

YouTube crafty swaps are so great.  I love participating whenever I can.  The last swap I was involved in was an altered cork charm and altered bag swap.  It was hosted by TheScrappyBookworm1.  She partnered us up and we were to make 2 altered cork charms and 1 altered bag filled with crafty goodies.  My partner was the oh so talented Lydia, who is iTripledogdareu on YouTube.  She sent me the most amazing altered corks and bag.  I show the all goodies she sent me in this video

I had never in my life altered a cork before, so I had some research and learning to do.  After several tutorials, I gave it a try!  I actually love how my corks came out!  I just went on Etsy and ordered like 40 wine corks for about $3.  You can't beat that!  I had such a great time altering them.  I used my Tim Holtz swivel clasps, lots of seam binding and lace, Tim Holtz memo pins, Prima vintage trinkets and a vintage charm.  I used Prima Lyric paper to attach the charms to and also used that collection to create my altered paper bag.  Pictures are below and the video where I share all of my creations can be found here.

I included some of my handmade flowers in her bag!

These are some of my handmade scruffy flowers.  I love making and sharing these!!

Graphic 45 French Country Album....

Graphic 45 is by far my favorite line of paper.  One of their newer collections is called French Country, and I created a mini accordion album with it!  I used some vintage stamps I had in my stash along with this gorgeous paper line and the chipboard embellishments.  I used lots of tulle, lace and vintage buttons.  I even did some embossing!  Thanks for checking it out!  You can also see my YouTube video here. :)

Truly a Lyric lover....

I became involved with the YouTube crafty community about a year ago.  It has opened my eyes to so many new things and has introduced me to so many people with the same passions as mine.  In creating a YouTube name, I chose one that fits me the best.  Although it might not be crafty, I still stuck with it, even after I became part of the crafting world on YouTube.  My channel name is Lyriclover810.  I believe that song lyrics go way beyond the actual song.  They paint a picture in your mind and provide feelings that are indescribable.  There's really nothing more beautiful.  They are my favorite kind of art.  A few months ago, I was browsing one of my favorite crafty websistes, acherryontop.com, and they were advertising Prima's new line of paper crafts.  The line is called Lyric!  I almost fainted....seriously!  See...I knew I chose a crafty name!

This paper cannot be more me.  It's absolutely stunning and I love, love, love creating with it.  As you can see in my pictures below and in the video here, I purchased many of the embelishments that go with the paper.  There's paper clips, buttons, washi tape and fabulous stamps.  So, here it is...my latest mini accordion album made from Prima's Lyric collection.

Vintage Threads Album....

I told you, I'm loving these mini accordion albums!  I made another one, using the Regent Street collection by Recollections.  I think this one might be my favorite!  I had a stamp set called "Vintage Threads" and I am so in love with it.  I did a lot of stamping throughout this album and used a lot of seam binding, vintage
buttons and lace and just had blast making it.  You can watch my YouTube video here, showcasing the entire album. :)

I loved that one so much, that my friend,  Maria and I made another one so she could give it to her mother-in-law.  We created it together and then wrapped it up in a vintage pattern.  It came out so lovely!
